Thatcher is a welcome addition to any attacking team. His EMP Grenades allow him to destroy any electronic device within the vicinity, including: Bandit’s Shock Wire, Mute’s Signal Disruptor, Nitro Cells, surveillance cameras, etc. His grenades will also disable all electronic sights, laser sights, and lights for 10 seconds. However, gadgets such as Pulse’s Cardiac Scanner, Echo’s Yokai Drone, and Vigil’s ERC-7 will only be temporarily disrupted and Frost’s Welcome Mat will be unaffected. Jäeger’s ADS can counter Thatcher’s EMP Grenades if they are thrown in the sight line of one. With a pick between two assault rifles and a shotgun, he can be equipped for both close and long ranged combat. His P226 is a solid sidearm for getting out of sticky situations. He operates most effectively on maps with areas that Defenders like to bunker in, like garages, with any hard breacher such as Thermite or Hibana.

Sledge is a solid pick for any attacking team because he can breach through any soft walls or hatches and some floors using his signature hammer. This allows him quickly and quietly to open up paths and rotations for his teammates as well as valuable lines of sight. His hammer has a limited durability of 25 hits. The SMG-11 is a powerful sidearm that allows Sledge to be capable in short to long range combat, with the addition of the L85A2 and frag grenades.

Smoke is a must-have defender as he can prevent the bomb defuser from being planted and also stop rushes. His gas grenades are similar to smoke grenades and can be remotely detonated dealing 15 damage every half second regardless of armor rating. Smoke is the only operator immune to the toxic gas, so be careful not to kill the hostage or your own teammates. His barbed wire helps slow down attackers and allow his smokes or “babes” to deal more damage. Using his impacts and shotgun, he’s able to open rotation holes quickly and efficiently. The combination of a shotgun and the SMG-11 allows him to be versatile in both close and mid-ranged combat.

Mute is a solid pick for any defense team looking to hide their objective from enemy eyes. His Signal Disuptors interrupt signals to electronic devices and have an effective radius of 2.25 metres which also extends 2.5 meters vertically, allowing them to cover certain hatches when placed underneath. His Disruptors (or jammers) can also be placed near windows and walls to stop breach charges, Thermite’s Exothermic Charges, Fuze’s Cluster Charges, and Hibana’s X-Kairos Pellets. They’ll also cause Jackal’s Eyenox Model 3 to stop tracking footprints and prevent Blitz from using his Flash Shield. It can also be combined with Castle’s Armor Panel to create a virtually bulletproof door. Thatcher’s EMPs, bullets, or any other damage can destroy Mute’s Disruptors, so be careful when placing them. With his MP5K and a Nitro Cell, Mute is a solid operator at short to mid-range combat.
